Obviously, my paper is about my relationship with my body. But more specifically, it’s about my glasses. I have needed glasses almost my entire life, so I’ve gotten used to it. My thesis is that almost every has a negative relationship with their body because of society and its use of Photoshop and then passing those photos off as authentic. Fortunately, many people and companies are starting to recognize the negative impact Photoshop has on people and they’ve began to protest it. For example, Verily Magazine has a “No Photoshop Policy” and they celebrate women’s differences instead of erasing them to make them fit a mold created by today’s society.

My paper is about how my mind perceives habits and other acts that i have encountered in my life time and explain by using my body as a product. Such as if my mind is the paint brush and my body is the canvas. How my body reacts to different situations is the way my mind acts upon. Sub consciously or consciously is how i have trained my mind to process. For the good or bad for my body its just the way my mind sees something and my body reflects. Both have the same relationship.

I wrote my paper about my relationship with my body, as did everyone in ENC1102. My paper is about my mind-body connection and how I feel as though mine function as two separate systems and not together. I do most actions subconsciously, it does not process through my brain first it just happens. Also it is about how my emotions are reflected through body language. The body reveals things the mind is feeling which makes it known they work as a whole even if we do not notice.

My paper is about my relationship with my body. I seek to find a balance in my body. On one side I use my body for my minds entertainment with extreme activities, and enabling factors. While on the other hand I take care of my body and attempt to remain healthy. I wish to get the most entertainment out of my body as possible. But be able to keep it up for as long as I can as well. This balance is hard to achieve but, I believe, will allow me to get the most out of my life

I wrote my paper on my relationship with my body. I based my paper on my mind and physical characteristics. I tried to hit all points on how my mind works and how I view various situations. I worked to discuss these topics, as well as relate them to my body. I found examples from the online articles we read last week. I used the obesity one to explain how I do things to prevent obesity. I also wrote about how eating healthy is important to keep that good relationship with your body, and to treat it as well as you can.

My paper is about my body and how it makes me feel. I included the good and bad aspects. I used examples from last weeks blog post and discussed how my childhood contributed to my confidence. I wrote about my strong drive to stay active and healthy, and that you must respect your body. I think it is very important to be the best that you can be.

My essay was about my relationship with my body, of course. I first wrote about how our bodies are vessels that allow us to experience this world within our lives. Secondly, I wrote about self-esteem issues and personal distaste. I also wrote about how I am not very fond of my health issues, and that we must grow to accept the body we were given, and treat it right because this is the only body we are ever given. Mainly, I wrote about my personal experience with my specific body and how I do not like my body (for multiple reasons), but I will have to grow to accept it as my own.
ReplyDeleteMy paper is about my constant struggle to have a happy and healthy relationship with my body. Most of the time I am somewhat comfortable with myself but there are days when I feel like I will never be happy with my body. There are also some days that I am very positive about my body and very confident. Social media makes it very hard for us to accepting of, and have a healthy relationship with, our bodies and be comfortable no matter what size we are. We are judged everyday by how we look and what shape we are in, even at a very young age and this can cause a lot of issues as we grow up and ultimately lead to negative relationships with our bodies.

In the paper discussing the relationship between me and my body I said that the relationship was apparent. The reason to why the relationship is apparent is because that is the way society is molding me to be. In this day and age everything seems to be categorized and judged upon. For someone to not be in touch with their body I simply do not understand because that means they are never comparing their self to someone else to try and be better than they are, for example when competing for a certain job position a person has to be at another caliber to beat their competition. The stats even show that people that are overweight were paid less than people who were fit at one time in our recent history and for someone that wants to be successful they are aware of those types of discriminations that are occurring.

My paper is about my relationship with my body. I used aspects such as age and gender to show my relationship with my body. I used material that I learned in my phycology class back in high-school along with material from the college's data base. I found out that it's not easy to write about yourself.

My paper is primarily based around the role society plays in the way that we imagine our own bodies. I start by highlighting two examples one of which is how odd it really is for a black woman with naturally kinky or course hair to wear hair that doesn't belong to her just so that she can blend in with her caucasian friends who have naturally straighter hair. She fails to see that she will never be them or anything in the likeness of them. In this example this woman's view of who she is within her own body is poisoned by who or what society says that she should be. I also talk about my own personal relationship with my body and how I have come to learn and appreciate myself.
ReplyDeleteI wrote my paper about my relationship with my body and how it came to be. Talking about the relationship we have with our bodies is not easy for most and I think that is because our relationship with it is formed by several factors, including childhood. I believe that having a strong body-mind connection is important and we preform best when the mind and body are balanced. I also think that proper nutrition and exercise help us form healthy and positive relationships with our bodies.
ReplyDeleteIn general, my paper is about the negative treatment that my body receives from me and how the negative treatment outweighs the positive treatment. My thesis is about the amount the body can take before results become apparent. Although proper nutrition is maintained, at some point alcohol and sleep deprivation take a noticable toll and, of course, by then the damage is irreversible. A conclusion was never reached simply because I'm still young and no results have been discovered.

My #1 Essay
My first essay focused on the relationship that drugs play in opening our minds to creative talks and inspirations. I focused on the relationship Sunny had with his brother in comparison to my own fathers drug abuse. When no one could understand why Sunny needed heroine I felt as though I connected to him as a musician, and I related to some parts of his drug experience. Cathedral hit home because I am legally blind. I would love others to experience the feeling only for a few moment though. I concluded with the relationship drug abuse and music play a part in my life.
My essay was about how my relationship with my body has changed over time and what it currently is like. My thesis was that my relationship with my body is better than it has ever been, but it is still not great. Examples that I used in my essay included how when I was younger I had very bad self-image and thus a very negative relationship with my body. Another would be how in current times I struggle with the idea of becoming pregnant at some point as it is not something I’m sure I want to do. My conclusion was that overall I am happy with my relationship with my body at the current time

In my paper I mention how things like personal decisions, insecurities and confidence can all contribute to the relationship with my body. I mention how sometimes I forget to be grateful for a healthy body because of the distractions from my insecurities, and how the pressure to have a perfect body is constantly growing in the modern society. I also bring up that it's easy to forget to always be fully yourself, and not be afraid to make more risky decisions. Based on the context from the stories, I concluded that I should be more thankful for my healthy body and try to be more confident by worrying less about other peoples perception of perfection and self-image.
ReplyDeleteMy paper on how I relate to my body is about the good and bad aspects of that relationship. It has a more lopsided tilt towards the negative aspects but thats just me and my outlook on life. I talk about different sensory components and how the body adapts when we are robbed of one. I used two sources. Raymond Carver's "Cathedral," was one and the other came from the Brookings institute.

My paper is based on the relationship that I share with my body. It focuses mainly on most of the physical features It has to offer and the positives and negatives of each. My paper includes topics such as gender, and gender differences among other bodies in the world. It shows in great detail what it is like to live within my body and how my body is viewed from the outside world. My paper also talks about the way I treat my body and the need for improvement to that treatment. This paper also focuses on the way that others view the female body and its purpose on earth. It describes some of the troubles it must face in order to overcome several difference in society.

My paper is about my relationship with my body and the different ways my lifestyle affects it. I started with a quote that suggest that we take care of our body, because it is the only place we have to live for a lifetime. I start with the negative lifestyle choices that effect my body and mind, then move on toward the positives. I used an example in the database on how eating a poor diet can be associated with mental health in children and adolescents. I try to outweigh the negatives with positives in ways that affect my relationship with my body, such as exercising and eating healthy, to overpower the coffee and beer I consume.

Personally, talking about my relationship with my body is a sensitive topic. I’ve decided to talk about the challenges and positives about my body I’ve experienced growing up. My three major points involve a medical condition, physical fitness, and career interest that was introduced to me while learning about my body from a doctor. In my conclusion, I emphasize the importance of never giving up on your goals and staying motivated through the hard times. My relationship with my body can be a challenge, but it’s nothing I can’t handle.

Just like everyone else I did my paper on the relationship with my body. I wrote that my relationship with it is primarily a physical one. Surprisingly everything I do in life is very physical. My job, hobbies, and sports all rely heavily on physical fitness. Without it I couldn't do anything that I enjoy doing. So basically the backbone of the relationship that I have with my body is fitness.

I wrote my paper on my relationship with my body. When I tried writing the paper the first time, I had trouble describing my relationship with my body, so I came up with an odd analogy. The analogy I used was how my relationship with my body is like a driver with a car, the driver was my conscience, major engine components was certain things of my body that I find very important to take care of.
